On-Camera Audition Class with Ingrid Torrance
Tuesday nights @ 6:30p.m

A four week, on camera class, focusing on professional camera technique, audition preparation, character development, Scene Study and the general ABC’s of the industry. This class includes improv warm ups, cold reads and single on-camera audition scenes using current film and television texts. We will focus on making ‘choices’, turning text into ‘audition friendly’ sides, being camera aware as well as the things you can do to advance your craft outside of class.


INGRID TORRANCE began her professional acting career 15 years ago with a starring role in the independent feature Three Rings. This role garnered her fantastic reviews and a 1996 Best Actress LEO Award Nomination.
Shortly after her Leo Nomination, she landed the National search for Spokesperson for NBCi.com. This position lasted around a year and had her performing in such places as Mexico, L.A., New York, Dallas, San Francisco and Illinois. She was named ‘Breakout’ actress by Entertainment Weekly Magazine.
 
Ingrid has had recurring guest star and leading roles in many television and film productions taking her to locations in France, New York, Canada, L.A. and the Czech Republic. Her Lead role in the Trilogy Christy brought her a suggestion for an Emmy Nomination, enabling her to become a voting member of the American Academy of Motion Pictures.
 
As well as acting, Ingrid has coached many actors for both performance and dialogue, such as Karina Lombard (The 4400, Legend’s of the Fall), Cameron Bright (New Moon, 11:11, Birth), Devan Sawa (Final Destination) and Greyson Golka for Men in Trees. She was asked to come onto the Brightlight Production of ‘They Wait’ and coach child actor Regan Ory, working side by side with the director she was then asked to coach 4 other actors including Cheng Pei Pei (Crouching Tiger) and Henry O (The Last Emperor). She has been an Executive Producer on the film called ‘Little Boy Blues’ which sold to three networks (Chum, Astral, and Movie Central). This last year she has also Associate Produced ‘Daysleeper’ Directed by Daniel Dimarco, Produced and Directed 12 Documentaries which are currently being distributed as feature series and DVD’s and wrote a ‘How To’ book on the acting industry.
