CURRENT STUDIO WORKSHOPS Polish your craft with an intensive at the studio. On-Camera Audition Workshop
with coach AARON CRAVEN and Casting Director JUDY LEE May 4th and 5th Saturday 2-5pm, Sunday 11am - 5pm $195 plus gst. Call (604) 872 0075 Don’t miss the chance to work with one of Vancouver’s top acting coaches as well as Canadian Casting Director Judy Lee. Actors in the workshop will work prepared scenes with Studio on the Drive coach Aaron Craven before re-working with Casting Director Judy Lee. Actors accepted into the workshop will need to have prior training and some on-camera or stage credits, ensuring that all actors in the workshop have a foundation of acting experience. ** Participation is limited to 12 actors only, so spots will fill quickly.** Of note: this an opportunity to learn from a seasoned coach and an industry professional who is in the audition room on a daily basis. We keep our workshop sizes very small and prices fair to reflect that this is a working class with lots of “on your feet” time and experimentation. More on your instructors: A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Aaron Craven has worked on both sides of the border, with Film/TV credits including Continuum, Fairly Legal, Fringe, iCarly, Stargate Atlantis, Life Unexpected, Kyle XY, The L Word, The Unit, Smallville, Tru Calling, The Dead Zone, The 4400, Supernatural and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Stage credits include Gaslight at the Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles as well as the Vancouver Premieres of Neil Labute's Fat Pig and Michael Weller’s Fifty Words.. He has also directed critically acclaimed productions of Glengarry GlenRoss and Closer. He is the Artistic Director of Mitch and Murray Productions. Judy Lee is a Vancouver native whose work in film has taken her from Los Angeles to the Sierras of Mexico. Her career began as an actor in Hollywood North, expanded into script development and production in Montreal and L.A. before serendipitous twists brought her back to Vancouver. She has worked on several television movies and feature films starring actors such as Donald Sutherland, Charlize Theron, John Cusack and Jake Gyllenhaal and is in the middle of casting several more feature films this year starring acting legends like Danny Glover, Simon Pegg and Christopher Plummer. ____________

Don’t miss the chance to work with Canadian Casting Director Jackie Lind. Actors accepted into the workshop will work prepared audition sides with Jackie accompanied by a Q and A. Actors need to have prior training, ensuring that all actors in the workshop have a foundation of acting experience. ** Participation is limited to 12 actors only, so spots will fill quickly.** Jackie Lind, has been a Canadian Principal casting director for fifteen years casting in Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Jackie built the first casting director studio in Alberta and still maintains a casting company there as well as in Vancouver. Jackie won an Emmy Award in 2007 for “outstanding casting in a mini-series”. A few of her credits include Honey I Shrunk The Kids. The Assassination of Jesse James, Shooter, Open Range, Broken Trail, Hell On Wheels, The Haunting Hour and numerous Lifetime and Hallmark MOW’s.
