AMERICAN ACCENT WORKSHOP
with renowned teacher ANDY KRIEGER
Saturday, May 10th
10am – 5pm
Cost is $100 + GST
Andy Krieger was born and raised in San Francisco.
Before working at BC Performers (UBCP) Andy spent 3 years
in Los Angeles with Warner Bros and another 10 with Central
Casting hiring extras for film, TV, and commercials.
He hired back-ground for Cheers, MASH, Pretty Woman, Ghost, Star-Trek: the Next Generation,
and thousands of other projects
In 1997 an American producer and local principal casting director approached him and asked that he try and figure out the way he was speaking (American!!) so he could teach Canadian actors how to learn it so they could get more work in the local film industry. The Casting Directors were wanting to hire more Canadians but they were not speaking the language that would get them that work. So Andy figured out his Method and has taught thousands of actors over the last 10 years.
What some Casting Directors have said about Andy's workshops
Coreen Mayrs
"Heike and I have been fortunate to be able to recommend this wonderful class over
the past number of years and, in being able to do so, have observed an immense sense of
growth, understanding, and progress within the acting community, and in turn, a greater
success in being able to cast roles locally, roles that might otherwise have gone
to American performers. ...It has always been of great comfort in the past to know
Andy Krieger's unique passion was there to assist in the fulfillment of every actor's
dream. (Canadian actors must know how to speak this different way) ...As unrealistic
as this may seem, it is a simple truth. ...There is honestly no alternative to this class for
performers in the city."
Testimonials from students
"Thank you again Andy, I can't express how life altering the experience was and how much it has increased not only my skills but my confidence at auditions, interviews, on set, and also in life. When people can understand you, and hear every word with ease, everything changes."
– Claire Carreras
"When I left your class, I truly felt like what I can best
describe as a "Soldier marching into battle knowing full
well he had the biggest gun, and unlimited ammunition "
– Jason Rickey
